Coast Guard law enforcement team to launch toy drive in Pinole

Crew hopes to fill 2 small boats with toys

ALAMEDA, Calif. – Crewmembers from Maritime Safety and Security Team San Francisco, based at Coast Guard Island in Alameda, are scheduled to hold their third annual toy drive in front of the Toys R Us at the Pinole Shopping Center in Pinole, Calif., Dec. 3-4 and 10-11, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

New toys can be dropped off at one of the two Coast Guard unit’s 25-foot Response Boats that will be staged in the store parking lot.

The crew hopes to fill both boats with new toys that will be donated to the Oakland Children’s Hospital.
