Rehabilitated birds from oil spill to be released (UPDATE)
SAN FRANCISCO –
WHO: Media are invited to attend the release of rehabilitated birds.
WHAT: Members of the Unified Command will be in Half Moon Bay today to view the release of approximately 50 birds that have been treated for oil exposure by the Oiled Wildlife Care Network.
Unified Command members speaking at the press conference include:
* Steve Edinger, Asst. Chief of California Department of Fish and Game, State Onscene Coordinator
* Barry McFarland, The O'Brien's Group, Incident Commander for Responsible Party
* A U.S. Coast Guard Representative will be present at the press conference, Adm. Craig Bone will not be present.
WHERE: Pillar Point Harbor, Half Moon Bay, Calif.
