Air Station San Francisco Rescues Man Stuck on Mountain

DAILY CITY, Calif. – An HH-65 helicopter, from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco, rescued a 44-year-old man stuck on a mountain, a third of a mile up, in San Bruno State Park here at 7:16 p.m. today.

The Coast Guard received the report at 6:42 p.m., from the Daily City Fire Department, after the man attempted to recover a toy belonging to his son up the mountain. After realizing he could not get down, a family member contacted 911. Once the Daily City Fire Department arrived on scene and assessed the situation, they contacted Coast Guard Sector San Francisco for assistance.

There are no reported injuries.
