Daughter of Fallen Coast Guardsman Honored |

SACRAMENTO, Calif - U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento will help present a Savings Bond to Autumn Skimin, the daughter of AMT1 David Skimin, at 4 p.m. today. David Skimin was killed in the line of duty when the HH-65 Dolphin helicopter he was flying in crashed off of the coast of Hawaii on September 4, 2008.
For David's service to his country, the Marine-Corp Law Enforcement Foundation will present Autumn with a savings bond to help pay for her college tuition. The MCLEF provides assistance to children of Marines or Federal law enforcement personnel killed in the line of duty. The gift will be presented at Air Station Sacramento where she will be able to tour the facilities with other Coast Guard members, some of whom had known and worked with her father. Autumn Skimin is a resident of Carmichael. ###
