Coast Guard, partner agencies to participate in simulated mass casualty exercise

 

WHO: Representatives from Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco, Sacramento Metro Fire Department, Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento Sherriff's Department, FBI and FEMA

WHAT: A Coast Guard C-130 Hercules aircraft will be simulating the scene of the mass casualty disaster.  The scenario is a simulated midair collision of a C-130 aircraft, loaded with 40 personnel, and a local law enforcement community helicopter on departure from McClellan Airfield.  Organizers will be looking at how well the different organizations respond to the incident and look for ways to improve their procedures.
