Coast Guard searching for one in Northern California

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Crews from Coast Guard Group Humboldt Bay are currently searching for a person in the water near Patrick's Point State Park, north of Trinidad, Calif.

Four people were walking on the beach near the Wedding Rock area of Agate beach when three of them were swept into the ocean. Two of the people made it back to shore and one person remains unaccounted for.

The Coast Guard launched an MH-65C Dolphin helicopter and a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat to the scene to search for the remaining person.

Currently the Coast Guard helicopter has flown three sets of search patterns searching for the missing person.

If anyone in the area locates the missing person or has any information on the missing person they are encouraged to contact the Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard recommends that everyone use extreme caution when participating in recreational or commercial activities on Lost Coast beaches and other waterfront areas, especially during the winter storm season.
