Coast Guard Commissions New Cutter

ALAMEDA, Calif. -  The Coast Guard’s newest cutter, the 418-foot National Security Cutter Waesche, will be commissioned in a ceremony on Coast Guard Island in Alameda, Friday.

WHAT: U.S. Coast Guard National Security Cutter Waesche commissioning.

WHEN: Friday, 10 a.m. 

WHO: Vice Commandant of the Coast Guard, Vice Adm. David Pekoske

WHERE: Coast Guard Island, 1800 Dennison St. Alameda CA, 94501

Media should be arrive by 9:30 a.m. for the 10 a.m. ceremony and have media credentials, a driver’s license and proof of insurance if operating a vehicle on Coast Guard Island.
